Meet Bailey

Meet Bailey - our new school therapy dog
We are delighted to announce that Bailey will be joining our school team after half term as our new therapy dog. Initially, Bailey will visit school every Tuesday, with his role gradually expanding as he settles into his new environment.
We will begin by introducing Bailey to a small number of children, gradually increasing this as he becomes more familiar with the school and confident in his role. Parents and carers of children who will be working directly with Bailey will be contacted in advance to seek their permission before sessions begin.
Bailey has just turned eight and is a very friendly, calm and gentle soul. He loves nothing more than a good sleep, a walk and a tasty treat! He has spent his whole life around young children, growing up alongside my own children and regularly welcoming other young visitors into our home. He is very tolerant and enjoys being stroked and receiving lots of fuss and affection.
Bailey will have his own comfortable, quiet space to rest in my office, where he can feel safe and secure throughout the school day. As he grows in confidence and becomes more familiar with his surroundings, he will gradually begin to explore more of the school, including visiting classrooms and attending assemblies.
We are very excited to welcome Bailey to our school community and look forward to seeing the positive experiences and opportunities he will bring to our children and staff.
