Y6 Malham Day 3
Where did this week go?
We had a great morning yesterday doing our river study. We measured height, depth, velocity (this involved dog biscuits!) and looked carefully at the riverbed to see what clues we could find.
We soon found out whose wellies were waterproof!
We had lunch then were out again to go for a walk and navigate without maps! I am glad to report that we didn't get lost, but we did find the biggest puddles that we JUST HAD to walk through. Please look out for that washing bag as soon as you get home!
The feast of sausage and mash was waiting for us, after our warm showers.
We then had our "Malham's got talent" where Riseley displayed their many talents!
We had a variety of different acts ranging from singing, dancing, story telling and bad jokes (and no this wasn't Mr Dyson’s act before you ask!) I am glad to report that nothing was broken during the performance and the audience were captivated!
We visited the shop and bought what seemed like all of their tat!
Then had some free time to pack, tidy, shower if they hadn't already had a shower today and reflect on the week we have had.
We had our last awards session and then went to bed. With a lot of tired faces it did not take long to settle down!
We are up this morning to get breakfast, tidy up and then head back down to Bedfordshire.
Yorkshire you have been AMAZING! Parents - be prepared to be dragged up here by the children! They have had a great time - stunned by the scenery, they even enjoyed the rain.. and the many many many puddles!
Now have to sign out and go round with the wet cloth to wake the children (and adults) up! Can’t wait!
Happy Friday and see you soon! 😀
